What is an Oxygen Analyzer?

o2 analyzer is a device that monitors oxygen levels in various gases and atmospheres. The analyzer uses sensors that are designed for high accuracy, stability and reliability. It is used for testing everything from medical gases and canisters of gas used for scuba diving to modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) of food products.

The oxygen analyzer is a portable device that consists of a sensor, a display and a control unit. The oxygen detector is powered by an internal battery and the data output is provided via an analog or digital signal. It features a rugged, handheld design for portability and is ideal for spot checking the oxygen levels in breathing systems or medical devices. The oxygen level in the sampled gas is measured by an oxygen sensor that uses zirconium oxide to ensure optimum performance and durability.

Oxygen Analysis Unveiled: Exploring the Vital Role of Analyzers in Various Sectors

Oxygen is essential for converting combustible fuels into energy and it plays an important role in the synthesis of countless chemicals. Its oxidizing power can also be damaging to catalysts and industrial assets, so it is important to ensure that the oxygen levels in a process are controlled. Oxygen analyzers are able to detect changes in oxygen concentration and provide accurate readings within milliseconds, so you can make the necessary adjustments in your system quickly.

Unlike other oxygen measurement devices such as paramagnetic analyzers or oxygen electrodes, the o2 analyzer measures oxygen partial pressure rather than oxygen concentration. As a result, the results are more stable and less sensitive to barometric pressure fluctuations. This is particularly useful in industrial applications where oxygen readings are often exposed to varying conditions.

Mega Patches

A collection of pre-owned sweatshirts and tracksuits, embellished with hand-collaged printed patches made from up-cycled, sustainable fabrics. The collection was shot in London by Joe Cruz, featuring Lola Varley, Mia Regan and a number of other models.

Mega Patches(tm) is a cold patch material which when applied over existing asphalt surfaces cures to become a part of the pavement, unlike other cold patch products which simply stay in place by weight and are severely affected by water and U.V. MEGA PATCH(tm) is composed of a blended water based co-polymer binder with selected stone aggregates and is environmentally safe. It contains no recycled asphalt, bitumin or V.O.Cs.

Big and Bold: Mega Patches as Wearable Works of Art

MEGA PATCH(tm) can be used in temperatures as low as -20°F. and reaches traffic hardness in about an hour. It can be placed on existing asphalt or gravel, concrete or over cracked/damaged areas where new pavement is needed. It requires a minimum of 4 inches of depth to be effective, it can be applied over cracks up to 6 mm wide and in most conditions can be used in conjunction with other cold patch materials such as hot mix or micro-surfacing products. MEGA PATCH(tm) can also be mixed with a small amount of water to form a slurry for filling deep potholes or repairing soft shoulders.

Repairing Concrete the Right WayRepairing Concrete the Right Way

Concrete is a tough material, but even the best quality products can be damaged. Repairing concrete is a time-consuming, difficult job that needs to be done right to ensure long term success. Whether the damage is caused by weathering, corrosion, or incorrect installation, proper repair of damaged concrete will save money, reduce maintenance costs, and keep people safe from injury.

Generally speaking, two types of repair methods are available: surface repairs and structural repairs. Surface repairs are used for cracks, spalling, and surface wear, while structural repairs must address concerns about the load-carrying capacity of a concrete structure or its safety. Before deciding on the appropriate type of repair, it’s important to identify the cause of cracking and determine if the cracks are structurally significant.

Essential Guide to Repairing Concrete: Techniques and Tools

Prior to applying the concrete repair materials, it is important to prepare the existing concrete surface. This includes saw cutting the perimeter of the damaged concrete to a suitable shape, removal of loose concrete, cleaning and coating of reinforcement steel with a bonding agent, and application of the concrete repair material. It’s also a good idea to determine the compressive strength of the existing concrete, so that a repair material can be selected with an adequate amount of compressive strength.

The final step in repairing concrete is testing the hardness of the repaired area. Many plant laboratories have cylindrical impact hammers that can be used to evaluate the hardness of a new or repaired concrete section. A hardness test is essential for determining the quality of concrete that has been repaired and whether or not it is ready to be placed in service.
